Progset means the set of components for controlling a DC car with a digital central unit.
Originally intended for programming, this set can also control the vehicle.
Range depending on resistance and LED power 5-30 cm.

Short range IR control

From this Progsets several can be distributed on the layout.
As Ground Sensor or short-range transmitter from the edge of the road, the DC cars get their orders.
All send out the complete DCC data, but only the addressed model reacts to it when it comes in the field of vision.

To set a vehicle (program), the digital central station must be set to DCC28 for the respective address and the vehicle must be stopped at speed 0. (Connection test: F0 = light on). The system will then be put into POM (Programming on main) mode.
After changing a CV, the model reacts with the brake light, hazard warning lights

Then the CV's can be adjusted according to the CV-List and the possibilities of the decoder.

The values given in the drawing allow a safe operation.
The resistor can be adapted to the size of the LED to radiate more power:
e.g. 5mm LED

LED SMD 0603   LED 3 mm   LED 5 mm
Stück Ohm Watt   Stück Ohm Watt   Stück Ohm Watt
6 570 0,35   6 286 0,7   6 143 1,43
5 636 0,4   5 316 0,8   5 158 1,58
4 700 0,42   4 350 0,85   4 173 1,73
3 740 0,46   3 370 0,95   3 188 1,88
2 810 0,5   2 406 1,02   2 203 2,03
1 880 0,55   1 440 1,09   1 218 2,18

Since such "crooked" resistance values are not available, 220 Ohms 4 watts can be used Part of the resistor series E12 series (10% deviation): 150, 180, 220, 270 ... ohms
With 470 ohms you are on the safe side and can easily use good 3 mm LED's.
2 resistors in parallel gives the half resistance of 235 ohms.
