Der Anhänger-Decoder
Contents
General
Why was a special trailer decoder developed?
So far, a lot of wires were needed to power the lights on a trailer.
- For light vehicles, the trailer hangs rigidly on the cables and does not deflect.
- Trailers with many cables are difficult to hang off and on again.
- For semi-trailers it is not easy to lay the many wires through the kingpin.
Not only for vehicles with trailer this decoder is suitable. This can also increase the number of outputs to connect more lights.
The trailer decoder consists essentially of the well-known decoder hardware and special software.
The turn signals etc. in the trailer are switched on or off synchronously with the towing vehicle.
Only when the towing vehicle sends a signal will the lights shine.
The trailer decoder does not show the turn signals or brake light like a towing vehicle when switched on.
What will transfer
Which functions are transferred to the trailer:
* Rear light | * Brake light | * Left turn signal | * Right turn signal | * Rear infrared |
* Blue light | * Front flasher | * Light 1 | * Light 2 | * Light 3 |
It is transmitted no feedback signal! Thus, the XT module can not evaluate.
The distance signal is sufficient as feedback for the S88-IR.
The distance signal can not be switched off on the DC05-A or DC05-SA.
Cable connection
1.Cable connection
Only 2 cables are needed if the trailer has its own battery
3 cables are needed if the trailer does not have its own battery and is powered by the battery of the motor car
Possible decoders
. 2 Possible battery and decoder combinations
