Servodecoder
General
The classic decoder with 8 servo outputs with 2 positions each for
Turnouts, branches, signals, barriers (with luffing), gates, fairground models with servo drive, etc.
After activation, the servo is switched off. This avoids overloading and high power consumption.
Unlike most competing products, the S8 does not shut down all the servos at the same time, but individually.
This avoids a flutter of the servos due to small disturbances.
Important is also the Power ON switch-lock. Most servos can stay turned off at power ON.
This prevents uncontrolled movement when switching on. (Power dependent)
Only with the actuation the desired position is approached.

The servo decoder is marked with
Ground / Minus - (Brown at Märklin) away from the heat sink and
Phase / Plus + (yellow at Märklin) connected to the heat sink at the transformer.
Observe uniform mass! see also 'transformer'
Normally, DCC does not care about the assignment of the digital connection. The current is limited to 2 A For full load, a transformer of over 30 VA is required.
The poweroff circuit does not require power from a servo.
